Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish model and actress. She made her debut in the Bond movie, A View to a Kill in 1985. In 1989 she played Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Approached by a photographer Doody decided to take up modeling and subsequently the profession of commercial modeling. Doody did not like glamour or nude work, a rule that she incorporated into her acting. She was cast in a minor part as Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when her name was picked by the casting director. Doody's name appeared in John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 of the most promising new actors from 1986. 38. Doody was 18 years old when she played Doody's role in Bond she was still the most youthful Bond girl until today. Another early movie played a tiny part in the film as IRA Siobhan Doovan, a member of the IRA in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke. Doody played Archibald Craven's wife Lilias In his dream in 1987's television adaptation The Secret Garden. She performed the role of Sapsorrow in an episode of Jim Henson's fantasy series The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. She then took on her biggest role yet in the film Taffin as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody has collaborated with three James Bond actors. Doody was in the British series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The show was inspired by the Hitler Diaries publication scam. Later, she relocated to Hollywood. She was replaced by Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson character. She then played Flannery Sheen's lover and agent alongside Charlie Sheen, as Major League II came out in 1994. Doody who was away from acting for almost 10 years, came back 2003 to play a small part of The Actors, a British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine appeared as her as a character at the ceremony for awards. She was in the film with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version of King Solomon's Mines. Doody filming a character in Danny Dyer's 2010 film The Rapture. She later guest starred in the medical drama of RTE The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of the horror film The Asphyx but the project later stalled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way which was a film from 2014. Almeria film award, tierra de cine, and an Almeria walk of fame star were awarded on the 21st November 2018.
