Rena Sofer

  

Rena Sherel Sofer (born December 2, 1968) is an American actress, known for her appearances in the daytime network, in episodic guest appearances and made-for-television films. Sofer was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her performance in the role of Lois Cerullo on the soap drama General Hospital. From 2013 until 2022, she played the role of Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap production The Bold and the Beautiful.




 Childhood and early life


 Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau), a psychology professor, as well as Martin Sofer, an Orthodox Rabbi.




 She moved with her brother David, her father, to Teaneck (New Jersey) in 1970. But, Sofer lived in Western Pennsylvania when she was a kid. They lived in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father led Beth Samuels Jewish Center. In the following years, she attended the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer lived in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue's rabbi Temple Beth El. After finishing her studies at North Bergen High School she went to Montclair State College.




 Career


 Daytime television


 Sofer first appeared as Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. Her first appearance was in 1993, as a manager for a band. The first time she was seen was as Rocky McKenzie in the 1988-91 daytime soap show Loving.
